Ripple missed the deadline to submit SEC litigation related documents, court approves a 14 day extension

2024-10-23 01:14

Odaily Planet Daily News: Earlier today, the US Second Circuit Court of Appeals issued a breach notice to Ripple's legal team, citing that Ripple missed the deadline for submitting the confirmation letter and court appearance notice form related to the SEC lawsuit, which was due on October 18, 2024. The court has approved a 14 day extension for Ripple, allowing the team to submit the required documents before November 1, 2024. If Ripple's lawyers fail to complete the submission before this new deadline, they may be prohibited from presenting their arguments at the upcoming appeal hearing without special court permission. Lawyer Fred Rispoli and other legal experts have commented on this matter, stating that although the impact of missing the submission of documents may seem insignificant, it is still an avoidable mistake, especially considering the high legal fees paid by Ripple.
