Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook voted to raise interest rates by 25 basis points, contradicting the Fed's decision to maintain rates between 3.75% and 4.00%. This marks Cook's first dissenting vote since joining the Fed in 2022. President Trump has twice attempted to remove Cook from the Fed's board, one of which was blocked by the Supreme Court.
