Odaily Planet Daily News: According to British media Metro, a British cryptocurrency broker jumped from a 30 foot balcony to escape the kidnappers' pursuit. The agent was tricked by kidnappers into drinking at an apartment in the nearby town of Estepona. Upon arrival, he was told to hand over $30917 (30000 euros) from the client's account, otherwise he would be tortured or killed.
The victim managed to call a friend in London for help, pretending that he was calling a customer to obtain an access code. His friend then called the victim's mother, who called the police. The local government was able to track down the apartment. When the kidnappers were distracted by the police, the agent jumped from a 30 foot balcony and broke his ankle. He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
Subsequently, a search of the apartment revealed two firearms, 10000 euros ($10305), a cash counting machine, three knives, and 25 grams of pink cocaine. These three men have all been arrested and charged with kidnapping, injuring others, joining criminal organizations, illegal possession of weapons, and drug trafficking. After appearing in court, they were imprisoned.
