On April 25th, according to Reuters, members of the Lazarus Group, a North Korean hacker group, set up two shell companies - Blocknovas LLC and Softglide LLC - in New Mexico and New York, using false identities to spread malicious software and specifically attack cryptocurrency developers.
Cybersecurity company Silent Push has revealed that these companies use fake interviews to lure victims and steal sensitive information such as encrypted wallets and passwords, resulting in multiple developers being recruited. Silent Push stated that this is a rare case of a North Korean hacker carrying out a cyber attack on a legitimate company registered in the United States.
