OpenAI Appoints New CEO of Application Business, Altman to Focus on Super Intelligence Research and Security

Sam Altman tweeted that OpenAI has appointed Fidji Simo as the "CEO of the Applications Division," reporting directly to Altman. Altman will continue to serve as the CEO of OpenAI and further focus on research, computing power, and security affairs. Simo has served as a Facebook executive, a leader in products such as Facebook Live, and also serves as the chairman of the Metrodora Foundation, a neuroimmune research institution.
