Coinbase launches 24/7 Bitcoin and Ethereum futures trading service
According to the official blog, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase announced that it has become the first compliant platform approved by the CFTC to provide 24/7 Bitcoin and Ethereum futures trading. The service was officially launched on May 9th. This innovation breaks the traditional trading period restrictions in the derivatives market, allowing investors to trade contracts at any time (including weekends). The announcement reveals that perpetual contract products are also being prepared and will provide regulated perpetual contract services for retail investors in the United States for the first time. This service is supported by Nodal Clear for clearing, Virtu Financial and other market makers to ensure liquidity, and distributed through broker channels such as ABN AMRO and Wedbush Securities. Coinbase Financial Markets CEO Andy Sears stated that this change enables investors to manage risk anytime through the Coinbase Advanced platform.
