US prosecutor sues group leader for trafficking drugs through cryptocurrency

Foresight News reported that according to Decrypt, prosecutors in the Southern District of California have indicted the leader of the Sinaloa drug trafficking group on suspicion of drug terrorism and trafficking. The prosecution is partly due to blockchain analysis companies Chainalysis and TRM Labs identifying millions of dollars in cryptocurrency related to Fentany precursor procurement and money laundering networks.
