According to Vitalik Buterin's research post, he proposed adding a "local node bias" adjustment to the Ethereum scaling roadmap to alleviate the impact of increasing the gas cap on individuals running full nodes. Vitalik pointed out that the important value of individual nodes lies not only in on chain verification, but also in the privacy and anti censorship requirements for reading chain data as local RPC. Its recommendations include accelerating the comprehensive implementation of EIP-4444, building decentralized historical data storage, adjusting the Gas mechanism to increase the cost of storing new states, and proposing a new model of "partially stateless nodes" that allows users to save critical states as needed, balancing storage efficiency and local privacy.
