According to TASS News Agency, Yevgeny Grabchak, Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia, stated that he is considering relocating cryptocurrency miners to energy surplus areas in the north and introducing a grid pricing mechanism. This move aims to utilize the power infrastructure resources left over from crude oil extraction, avoid waste, and reduce the burden on local power grids. Since 2025, the Russian government has implemented mining bans in multiple regions, and Grubchak emphasized that there is still room for development in the north, some parts of the northwest, and the Volga region.
