25 French suspects to be tried for cryptocurrency kidnapping case

According to Agence France Presse, 25 suspects in France will be tried by a judge on May 30th for multiple kidnapping plots against cryptocurrency entrepreneurs. This week, the police thwarted a new kidnapping attempt in Nantes and arrested over 20 people, including an attack on Paymium co-founder Pierre Noizat's pregnant daughter and grandson. These suspects are also suspected of participating in other attempted kidnapping plans, and the prosecution will consider criminal conspiracy charges against them. The kidnapping incident has raised public concerns about the safety of cryptocurrency tycoons and has become a major embarrassment for the French government. The French Interior Minister has previously held an emergency meeting to announce the strengthening of security measures in the cryptocurrency sector.
