According to Decrypt, digital asset management company Grayscale has reached a settlement with Osprey over a legal dispute surrounding the marketing behavior of a Bitcoin Trust ETF. According to court documents, both parties must complete the organization and execution of the settlement agreement documents within the next 45 days. The case originated from Osprey's lawsuit against Grayscale in early 2023 for "misleading advertising" in promoting GBTC to ETF conversion, and Grayscale was subsequently approved by the SEC to convert to ETF in 2024. Previously, the court ruled in favor of Grayscale in February 2025, stating that the Connecticut Unfair Business Conduct Act cited by Osprey does not apply to securities cases. The details of the settlement have not been made public yet, and there has been no formal response from both parties.
