BlockBeats News: On May 19th, according to DefiLlama data, the net inflow of funds from Arbitrarum's cross chain bridge in the past 7 days reached $496 million, ranking first among all public chains. Next are Ethereum and OP, with net inflows of $56.79 million and $50.8 million, respectively. Bera, Sei, and Unichain had net outflows of $201 million, $31.29 million, and $28.35 million, respectively.
Odaily Planet Daily News: According to official announcements, BitMart will launch Ardor (ARDR) on May 19th at 13:00 (GMT+8 time), which will open the ARDR/USDT trading pair. Ardor is a multi chain blockchain platform based on Proof of Stake (PoS), with a unique parent-child chain architecture. The security of the entire network is provided by the Ardor main chain, while interoperable sub chains have all the rich functionalities.
BlockBeats News: On May 19th, Vitalik posted on the ethresear forum on how to expand the Ethereum main chain (Layer 1, L1) while reducing the difficulty of running local nodes (especially those run by individual users) to maintain decentralization and user privacy. The article proposes a multi-level strategy aimed at reducing the resource requirements for running Ethereum local nodes through short-term (EIP-4444, distributed storage, gas pricing adjustments), medium-term (stateless verification), and long-term (partially stateless nodes) measures. This not only helps with L1 expansion, but also maintains Ethereum's decentralization and user privacy, avoiding excessive reliance on centralized RPC providers or expensive encryption solutions. The article also proposes a new node model: Partially Stateless Nodes. This type of node verifies blocks through stateless verification and verifies the entire chain (through stateless verification or ZK-EVM), but only stores a portion of the state that the user is concerned about. Nodes can respond to RPC requests involving this part of the state, while other requests will fail (or be left to the user to choose whether to fallback to an external encryption solution).
According to Vitalik Buterin's research post, he proposed adding a "local node bias" adjustment to the Ethereum scaling roadmap to alleviate the impact of increasing the gas cap on individuals running full nodes. Vitalik pointed out that the important value of individual nodes lies not only in on chain verification, but also in the privacy and anti censorship requirements for reading chain data as local RPC. Its recommendations include accelerating the comprehensive implementation of EIP-4444, building decentralized historical data storage, adjusting the Gas mechanism to increase the cost of storing new states, and proposing a new model of "partially stateless nodes" that allows users to save critical states as needed, balancing storage efficiency and local privacy.
