[ZK Nation Initiates Proposal Vote for ZK Token Contract Upgrade and Permissionless Burn Function]
On November 14, ZK Nation initiated a proposal vote regarding the upgrade of the ZK token contract and the introduction of a permissionless burn function. The proposal suggests upgrading the ZK token contract to ZKTokenV3, with new features including: a public burn function (allowing token holders to permanently burn their own tokens), addresses with the BURNER_ROLE can burn tokens from specified accounts, and a maximum supply limit of 21 billion ZK tokens enforced within the contract, which will be strictly adhered to when minting new tokens. The upgrade aims to achieve supply management through programmable burn functionality, supporting the vision of ZKnomics.
