[Dapper Labs CEO: Flow Network Has Resumed Operations, 99.9% of Accounts Restored]
Dapper Labs CEO Roham stated on the X platform that the Flow network experienced a security incident this past weekend, where attackers exploited an execution layer vulnerability to steal millions of dollars, but were stopped through ecosystem collaboration. Validators shut down the network within 30 minutes, and the core development team worked with community developers to fix the vulnerability. Within 48 hours, the Flow Foundation, bridge operators, exchanges, and developers reached a consensus on a recovery plan. As of this morning, the network under the Cadence environment has fully resumed operations, with 99.9% of accounts restored. Roham noted that consumer accounts were protected during the incident, the architecture isolated the losses, the decentralized process remained stable, and Dapper users were not affected.
