[Iran Allows Foreign Governments to Pay for Weapon Orders with Cryptocurrency]
The Iranian Defense Ministry's export center, Mindex, stated that foreign governments can pay for military contracts using cryptocurrency, barter trade, or Iranian Rials. Mindex is responsible for Iran's overseas defense sales, with the export list including Emad ballistic missiles, Shahed drones, Soleimani-class warships, and short-range air defense systems, among other weapons. Mindex claimed that Iran's sanction-evasion policies ensure contract execution and product delivery to their destinations.
