BlockBeats News: On May 23rd, cybersecurity company Moonlock issued a warning that hackers were conducting attacks by distributing a malicious clone disguised as Ledger Live. Ledger Live is an application widely used for managing Ledger cold wallets.
At first, attackers could only steal passwords, notes, and wallet information through this cloned application, in order to roughly understand the user's wallet asset situation, but could not directly withdraw funds. However, within just one year, they had learned to steal mnemonic words and were able to steal the victim's wallet.
