The recording and destruction functions of bad debt management can handle unsolvable debts, and are compatible with the upcoming Umbrella's automatic bad debt coverage function. Umbrella aims to use pledged aTokens to absorb bad debts, thereby eliminating the need for governance interventions. Users can earn rewards for contributing to protocol security by pledging aTokens without borrowing money.
