[U.S. Suspends Section 301 Investigation Measures on China's Shipbuilding Industry for One Year] At 12:01 AM on November 10 (Eastern Time), the Office of the United States Trade Representative announced that it would suspend Section 301 investigation measures on China's shipbuilding and related industries for one year. This includes halting the imposition of port fees on Chinese ships and additional tariffs on equipment such as Chinese ship-to-shore cranes. On the same day, China also suspended the implementation of related countermeasures. The Ministry of Commerce stated that China is willing to engage in communication and consultations with the U.S. based on principles of mutual respect and equal negotiation. It hopes the U.S. will continue to work with China to jointly maintain a fair competitive environment in the international shipping and shipbuilding markets.
