[U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Fails to Release October CPI Report as Scheduled]
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics did not release the October Consumer Price Index (CPI) report as planned. The White House had previously warned that due to the government shutdown, investigators were unable to conduct on-site data collection, and October non-farm employment and inflation data might not be published. The U.S. government ended the shutdown on November 12 local time, and federal employees will resume work on November 13. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics will release September economic data after the government reopens.
