[CZ's Personal Lawyer: Collaboration Between BSC and WLFI is Normal Business Activity, Binance Still Under U.S. Regulation] CZ's personal lawyer, Teresa Goody Guillén, stated in an interview on November 15 that Binance is still subject to restrictions from multiple U.S. agencies, including the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Additionally, the U.S. Treasury Department continues to monitor its compliance through regulators stationed via FinCEN, despite Binance having exited the U.S. market and having no U.S. customers. Regarding Binance's relationship with Trump and World Liberty Financial, she pointed out that there is no evidence to support media claims labeling the financial company as a Trump enterprise. She emphasized that the issuance of its stablecoin on BSC is a transparent and normal business activity. Using the example of 'buying wheat with Swiss francs does not equate to investing in or bribing Swiss politicians,' she refuted allegations of bribing the president to obtain a pardon.
