[Fanatics Launches Prediction Market Platform, Initially Available in 10 States]
Sports merchandise giant Fanatics has launched a prediction market app, Fanatics Markets, initially available in 10 states, with plans to expand to 24 states in phases over the next week. The platform allows users to trade on outcomes of events such as sports scores, political decisions, and economic developments. Fanatics has partnered with Crypto.com to provide compliant trading infrastructure and has obtained CFTC regulation and NFA membership through its previous acquisition of Paragon Global Markets. The company plans to expand its trading categories by 2026 to include cryptocurrency prices, IPOs, technological advancements, and movie outcomes, aiming to compete with Polymarket and Kalshi. The app is now available on iOS and Android platforms.
