Moscow Stock Exchange plans to launch regulated cryptocurrency trading on December 1st
The Moscow Stock Exchange is piloting cryptocurrency trading with professional participants and plans to launch regulated cryptocurrency trading services on December 1st. Boris Blokhin, Managing Director of the Securities Market, stated that the relevant tests were launched a week ago, and the existing license of the Moscow Stock Exchange covers cryptocurrency trading services. The relevant cryptocurrency market regulations in Russia have come into effect on September 1st, allowing citizens to trade cryptocurrencies on domestic exchanges licensed by the Russian Central Bank. Investors who do not have the status of qualified investors face investment limit restrictions, with trading scope limited to Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT. Sberbank predicts that the size of cryptocurrency trading in Russia will reach at least 4 trillion rubles in the first year. (Source: Bitcoin.com News)
多方力量向美国最高法院提交意见书,敦促裁定体育预测市场监管权归属
[Multiple Parties Submit Briefs to U.S. Supreme Court, Urging Decision on Regulation of Sports Prediction Markets] Multiple parties have submitted briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court, urging it to rule that sports prediction markets should be regulated by state governments rather than the CFTC. Signatories include former Senator Chris Dodd, former CFTC Chairman Gary Gensler, the NFL, representatives from 39 states, and 145 Native American tribes. They argue that the Dodd-Frank Act does not grant the CFTC the authority to supersede state governments in regulating gambling. Opponents contend that sports predictions do not meet the definition of swap contracts under the CEA. On Friday, the CFTC issued a new draft rule confirming that casino-style gambling does not fall under the scope of swap contracts, but contracts related to sports, political, cultural, and weather prediction events are still considered swap products and remain under its regulation.
