[Multiple Banks, Including Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Bank, Complete Yen Stablecoin and Cross-Border Payment Pilot Experiment] Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Bank, Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Mizuho Bank, and TISI Corporation completed a joint issuance of yen stablecoins and optimization of cross-border payments pilot experiment from July 17 to July 23, 2026. Supported by the Financial Services Agency's Fintech Proof-of-Concept Hub and Payment System Enhancement Project, the experiment validated the feasibility of a multi-bank joint issuance stablecoin model and explored the application of blockchain technology in international remittances and inter-company payments.
