Intel has applied to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States for an exemption from the ban on foreign manufacturing of advanced robots, stating that there are currently no domestic alternatives for the automated guided vehicle (AGV) equipment used in its semiconductor factories, and replacing the equipment will take several years.
