Polkadot Foundation warns that Fearless extension contains malicious code, causing 17300 DOTs to be stolen

The Polkadot Foundation has announced that versions 3.0.1 to 3.0.5 of the Fearless browser extension contain malicious code, resulting in the leakage of user private keys and the theft of 17286 DOT assets. Users who have used the above extensions since February 2025 should consider their accounts as compromised and use other wallets to generate new keys to transfer assets. No malicious code was found in the Fearless mobile version, but if the key for the browser extension has been imported, it is still considered leaked.
