Bitcoin hardware wallet manufacturer Keystone has discovered that stolen private keys could be used to create counterfeit devices and is therefore recalling its products.

Electrum released version 4.8.3 on October 24, 2026, fixing a security vulnerability that could trick users into signing transactions that could steal cryptocurrency. Malicious servers could present users with forged transactions, inducing them to sign payments to an attacker's address at a higher fee, without the attacker needing to obtain the user's private key.
