Bitcoin mining company Cipher Digital reported a net profit of $31.6 million for the third quarter, with total revenue falling to $26.7 million from $71.7 million in the same period last year. Bitcoin mining revenue was $20.8 million, a 71% year-over-year decrease. Cipher Digital shifted its computing power to leased data centers, with the first phase of its Black Pearl, Texas data center commencing operations in August, generating $5.9 million in revenue. The quarterly operating loss was $71.9 million, higher than the $37.6 million in the same period last year; adjusted EBITDA decreased from a profit of $40.8 million to a loss of $10 million.

A survey shows that if Republicans retain control of both houses of Congress, the median price forecast for Bitcoin by the end of the year is $90,800; if Democrats win both houses, the median forecast is $76,450; and if both parties control the House and Senate, the median forecast is $84,100. Analysts believe that Democratic control of both houses may make it difficult for the Clarity Act to pass in the next two years; Republican control of both houses is more conducive to the advancement of crypto policies, but a limited majority in the Senate may still lead to a deadlock in the bill. Bitcoin's short-term support range is $76,000 to $76,600, and the resistance range is $79,500 to $80,500; if it breaks below the support, the market will focus on the 50-week moving average at approximately $75,700 and the 200-day moving average at approximately $73,100.
