Brazilian cryptocurrency exchange Mercado Bitcoin will resume platform functionality in phases starting November 9th. The first phase will open the website for users to view their balances, bills, assets, and investments. Transfer, withdrawal, and trading functions will be gradually opened after each module passes security verification.
Mercado Bitcoin will use its own funds to compensate for the affected assets and reiterates that customer assets will not suffer losses. The exchange has already collaborated with Tether, Circle, Paxos, BRL1, Chainalysis, and crypto community experts to freeze over $15 million in related assets.
