Binance has requested the return of 8,426 ETH and 74.56 million ARB from ArbitrumDAO.
Binance has submitted a proposal on the Arbitrum governance forum to return 8,425,997 ETH and 74.56 million ARBs frozen on Arbitrum One to a designated address. These assets originated from the theft of Binance's hot wallet and were previously frozen by the Arbitrum security committee. Binance has pledged to cover user losses through the SAFU Fund and its corporate vault, with returned assets used to compensate for losses and costs incurred due to the incident. The proposal is currently under discussion in the forum and will subsequently undergo a Snapshot vote and on-chain governance process, which is expected to take approximately 49 days.
