Bloomberg: Varun Kao, former quantitative analyst at Bridgewater Fund, joins Bitwise

On May 1st, according to Bloomberg, Varun Kao, a quantitative analyst at Bridgewater Associates, recently joined Bitwise Asset Management Inc., a cryptocurrency asset management company based in San Francisco, as its quantitative developer in New York. According to his LinkedIn page, Bitwise has also hired Charles McLellan from Bank of New York Mellon as an assistant portfolio manager, and Claudia Beranzoli, who previously worked at Amundi, as an assistant legal advisor. Overall, Bitwise has recently recruited 8 new positions in the United States and 2 new positions in Europe, bringing its total number of employees to 105.
