Matrixport: Vitalik advocates Ethereum to move towards simplicity, Pectra upgrade takes a crucial step forward
Odaily Planet Daily News: Matrixport released today's chart stating that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently stated that Ethereum will move towards a simpler and more robust direction. -Drawing inspiration from Bitcoin's minimalist philosophy in core protocol design. He advocates simplifying the key code of the consensus layer and improving the scalability of the two-layer network through more mature zero knowledge proof (ZK) and optimistic rollup techniques. The Pectra upgrade, which will be launched on May 7th, integrates two upgrade plans, "Prague" and "Electra", including 11 Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs), with a focus on improving the scalability, security, and user experience of the network. The key upgrades include introducing an account abstraction mechanism (EIP-7702), increasing the upper limit of validators (EIP-7251), and doubling the throughput of data chunks (Blob) (EIP-7691) to reduce transaction costs in Layer 2. Despite some issues in the early stages of the testnet, Pectra is still considered a crucial step in the development of Ethereum.
