[MegaETH Quota Expansion Error, Total Quota Adjusted to $500 Million]
MegaETH announced an increase in the USDm quota limit to $1 billion, with the bridging plan set to open at 0:00 (UTC+8) tomorrow. However, the quota appears to have been seized in advance. The team originally planned to execute the quota increase through a pre-signed transaction at the designated time but failed to account for the fact that signed transactions can be broadcast by anyone. It is suspected that crypto whale @chud_eth exploited the vulnerability to execute the quota increase early, completing the USDm allocation ahead of schedule. The total quota has now been adjusted to $500 million, with over $483 million already allocated.
