[UPBIT Discovers Internal Wallet Vulnerability That Could Infer Private Keys] Oh Kyung-seok, CEO of South Korean cryptocurrency exchange UPBIT, stated on Friday that during the investigation into the $30 million theft earlier this week, a serious security vulnerability was discovered in the internal wallet system. UPBIT indicated that this vulnerability could allow individuals analyzing UPBIT's on-chain wallet transactions to infer private keys. UPBIT did not directly link this vulnerability to the attack, stating that the issue was identified and resolved on November 27 during a comprehensive inspection following abnormal withdrawals from Solana-related wallets.
