[Abraxas Capital Increases HYPE Spot Holdings, Total Spot Position Reaches $56.4 Million]
On December 1, HyperInsight monitoring revealed that two addresses tagged as belonging to Abraxas Capital (0x5b5, 0xb83) transferred approximately $62 million to Hyperliquid yesterday to increase HYPE spot holdings. Additionally, a 5x leveraged HYPE short position was used for hedging and defense. Due to today's market decline, the current HYPE spot position is approximately $56.4 million, accounting for half of the total funds in the two accounts on Hyperliquid.
Further monitoring shows that since November, Abraxas Capital has been consistently closing short positions and taking profits across multiple cryptocurrencies. The total position size has decreased from $760 million on November 3 to $146 million, with funds gradually withdrawn to on-chain wallets. Current major short positions include:
- ETH position size: $82.02 million, unrealized profit: $19.97 million (245%)
- HYPE position size: $62.39 million, unrealized profit: $22.59 million (220%)
