Strategy has sent a letter to the MSCI Equity Index Committee, urging MSCI to abandon the proposal to exclude companies holding digital assets exceeding 50% of their total assets from the benchmark index. Strategy warned that such a move would lead to significant index volatility, conflict with U.S. digital asset innovation policies, and be difficult to apply consistently due to differences in accounting standards. Strategy holds 660,624 BTC (valued at nearly $61 billion), and if removed, it could face approximately $2.8 billion in passive fund outflows. MSCI is expected to make a final decision by January 15.
