Coinbase requests appellate court to rule that cryptocurrency trading does not belong to securities

On January 22nd, according to Bloomberg Law, Coinbase submitted an intermediate appeal request to the US Second Circuit Court of Appeals, requesting a ruling that cryptocurrency trading on its platform does not constitute securities trading. Coinbase believes that encrypted assets are different from stocks and should not be regulated by the SEC.
