Ripple Chief Legal Officer: Ripple has agreed to abandon its cross appeal against the SEC, and the SEC will retain $50 million of the $125 million fine
Odaily Planet Daily News: Stuart Alderoty, Chief Legal Officer of Ripple, stated in an article on X: "This should be my last update on the SEC Ripple lawsuit. Last week, the SEC agreed to unconditionally waive the appeal. Ripple has agreed to waive the cross appeal. The SEC will retain $50 million of the $125 million fine (already deposited in cash into an interest bearing custodial account), and the remaining amount will be returned to Ripple. Ripple will also request the court to lift the standard injunction previously imposed under SEC requirements. All matters must be voted on by the committee, and the final document and regular court procedures must be drafted
