The Sky community is considering a final proposal to replace MKR as the sole governance token with SKY

BlockBeats reported that on May 1st, Atlas Axis, the core governance design team of Sky (formerly MakerDAO), submitted a proposal on Wednesday. If approved, the proposal will complete the protocol upgrade from MKR to SKY. This transformation will make SKY the only governance token and support staking, unlocking USDS rewards for SKY holders. Sky co-founder Rune Christensen praised the proposal as a "huge milestone" in a forum post. Although USDS and SKY were launched as upgrade tokens, DAI and MKR are still in circulation, and users can choose to convert their held tokens into new ones, thus achieving a gradual transition.
