According to Politico, given the recent increase in cryptocurrency related kidnapping incidents in France, cryptocurrency entrepreneurs and their families will receive enhanced security measures. The French Ministry of the Interior stated that these measures include prioritizing calling the police emergency hotline, conducting on-site visits, and providing security briefings to law enforcement agencies to provide best practice recommendations. Law enforcement officers will also receive 'anti cryptocurrency money laundering training'. Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau stated in a statement, "In response to the repeated kidnapping of professionals in the cryptocurrency industry, we will take immediate and short-term concrete measures to combat, prevent, dissuade, and obstruct, in order to protect the industry Since the beginning of this year, there have been at least three incidents of kidnapping cryptocurrency industry leaders or their families in France. Previously, it was reported that France will hold a conference on the security of the encryption industry to address the consecutive kidnapping incidents. This decision follows an attempted kidnapping incident that occurred in Paris on May 13th, where the daughter and grandson of a French crypto entrepreneur were attacked by four masked assailants on the street. Fortunately, they narrowly escaped with minor injuries. It is reported that the woman is the daughter of the co-founder and CEO of Paymium, a French cryptocurrency trading platform. In recent years, there have been multiple kidnapping cases related to encrypted wealth in France, including the kidnapping and torture of Ledger co-founder David Balland in January of this year.
