EMURGO responds to ADA voucher unclaimed issue and calls on the community to remain patient

Foresight News reported that Cardano developer EMURGO has issued a document explaining the redemption process for unclaimed ADA vouchers. It stated that although the vast majority of pre-sale ADA vouchers have been successfully redeemed, there is still a small portion that has not been redeemed by the original holders. To assist these participants in redeeming vouchers, IOG conducted a detailed seven-year process, including multiple redemption activities, to locate all participants and submit their registration information and relevant KYC documents. Given that the majority of initial voucher holders are in Japan, EMURGO supports IOG to contact and redeem these holders. Although successful in some cases, there are still some holders who cannot be found. Shelley's hard fork renders the ongoing voucher redemption ADA unusable, therefore it needs to be transferred to continue the redemption process. The identification process is carried out by a local third party, using various investigation methods including on-site visits. EMURGO recognizes the community's expectation for transparency and supports IOG in conducting independent audits. EMURGO calls on the community to patiently wait for the independent audit results, stating that once the audit results are announced, all outstanding issues will be resolved.
