According to the Bloomberg terminal, Japan Nong Lin Zhongjin Bank recorded a loss of up to 1.8 trillion yen (about 12.6 billion dollars) in fiscal year 2024 due to the large-scale selling of US treasury bond bonds and other overseas bonds. The bank's unrealized bond losses amounted to 1.24 trillion yen, accounting for 20% of its investment portfolio in CLO. Arthur Hayes commented that this will shake the confidence of other institutions to increase their holdings of US bonds, and "another potential buyer will withdraw, further impacting the demand for US bonds".
