On June 6th, according to Coindesk, Tigran Gambaryan, a Binance executive who was kidnapped and illegally imprisoned in Nigeria, announced his official resignation. He joined Binance in 2021 and has formed and managed a global investigation team of 100 former prosecutors and federal agents, handling thousands of requests from law enforcement agencies. In 2024, Gambaryan was detained by the local government due to Binance's compliance issues in Nigeria, and was eventually released this year under pressure from the US without being convicted. In his resignation statement, he stated that he will continue to devote himself to building a bridge between technology, law enforcement, and compliance.
