The Governor of the Bank of Korea will meet with CEOs of major local banks to discuss stablecoin matters

According to South Korean media Newsis, the Governor of the Bank of Korea, Lee Chang yong, is expected to meet with executives from major commercial banks later this month. The meeting is scheduled to be held in Seoul on June 23rd, at a time when the political community is increasingly interested in promoting the development of stablecoins supported by the Korean won. Li Changyong is expected to attend the regular board meeting of the banking industry on the same day, followed by dinner with CEOs of major banks and possible discussions on stablecoins.
