According to Cointelegraph, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on Russia based Aeza Group and its executives, as well as cryptocurrency wallets related to its services, for allegedly hosting ransomware and information theft programs. OFAC's sanctions also include an address holding $350000 in cryptocurrency, multiple companies located in Russia and the UK, and four Russian citizens who reportedly partially own shares in Aeza or serve as its executives.
