Volkswagen ADMT obtains autonomous driving data through Solana based Hivemapper Bee Maps

Foresight News reported that according to CoinDesk, ADMT, a autonomous vehicle subsidiary of Volkswagen, is using Bee Maps of Hivemapper, a Solana ecological DePIN project, to obtain real-time map data to enhance automatic driving operations. The street level images collected by Bee Maps contributors using Hivemapper cameras will be used to help validate Volkswagen's autonomous driving technology, in order to improve the roadside accuracy of automated transportation. Bee Maps is built on the Hivemapper network, and its contributors will receive cryptocurrency rewards. AI then processes the images to detect signs, construction areas, and closed lanes, ensuring that the data remains up-to-date.
