According to Foresight News, the attack on the Indian cryptocurrency trading platform CoinDCX was caused by hackers installing malicious software on employee Rahul Agarwal's computer under the pretext of part-time work, resulting in the theft of approximately $44 million in cryptocurrency. The Vice President of the company, Hardeep Singh, reported the case on July 22nd. An internal investigation within the company revealed that Rahul Agarwal received a part-time income of 1.5 million rupees, but denied involvement in the case. The police have filed a case in accordance with the IT law and BNS provisions, and Rahul Agarwal has been arrested by the police on suspicion of committing a crime.
