[Turkmenistan Passes Crypto Asset Regulation Bill, Effective Next January] Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdymukhamedov has signed a crypto asset regulation bill, which will take effect on January 1 next year. The bill includes a licensing system for cryptocurrency exchanges and crypto mining companies and clarifies the legal and economic status of virtual assets in terms of their creation, storage, issuance, use, and circulation within Turkmenistan. According to a government spokesperson, the bill aims to attract investment and promote digitalization.
