Hong Kong Monetary Authority warns against tokens unrelated to licensed stablecoin issuers

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority has issued a notice reminding the public to be aware of the emergence of tokens with the code names "HKDAP" or "HSBC" in the market, which are not issued by licensed stablecoin issuers and have no affiliation. Currently, both licensed stablecoin issuers have stated that they have not issued any regulated stablecoins. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority recommends that the public purchase or use stablecoins through regulated channels and remain vigilant against fraudulent activities claiming to be related to licensees or their stablecoins.
