Anza recommends upgrading Solana validators to Agave 4.0

Solana development company Anza announced the recommendation for mainnet validators to upgrade to Agave 4.0. Upgrade and introduce XDP for Turbine, QUIC only TPU data access, faster replay stage, and multiple SIMD functions. Tests have shown that XDP reduces Turbine retransmission latency from approximately 600ms to approximately 0.8ms, providing critical performance margin for Solana to advance towards 100 million CU blocks. Agave 4.0 removes UDP transaction access and switches to QUIC; Asynchronous processing of PoH entry verification and Ed25519 signature verification to improve performance. The upgrade will also enable features such as p-token (releasing approximately 13% of block capacity), Stake Program v5, and SBPFv3 support.
