South Korea cancels cryptocurrency tax petition with 50000 supporters

According to Seoul Economy, a nationwide petition calling for the cancellation of cryptocurrency taxes has been included in the agenda of the National Assembly of South Korea. This petition was published on the Congressional Electronic Petition Platform and received support from over 50000 people in just eight days, meeting the criteria for submission to the Standing Committee for review. The petition will be submitted to the Finance and Economic Committee for review, and a decision will be made on whether to submit it to the plenary session for deliberation. The petitioner believes that taxing only virtual currencies is unreasonable and that the current tax system needs to be comprehensively reviewed.
